Three things to look forward to in 2020.

We have a new year ahead and at OpenText Product Management we are looking forward to many exciting innovations in the CCM space for Exstream. I’ve chosen the three topics that I think you will be most excited about and that we will pay a lot of attention to through the year.

Shift to Cloud

The biggest innovation is probably our shift to Cloud-optimized deployment and operations, leveraging the standardized technology of Kubernetes and Docker containers with Exstream 20.2. 

The first release will be limited in scope, but it will still be a  game changer. You will very quickly be able to deploy market-leading Enterprise CCM for design and composition centric use cases. Enjoy web-based design and leverage benefits of running on the cloud of your choice, including any of the major hyperscalers out there like Amazon AWS or Google GCP.

Rationalization initiative

Another really interesting topic that you heard about at our latest meet-up is our Rationalization initiative. We think this will help you make more effective use of our CCM solutions, with the goal of analyzing and reducing number of overall templates.  Many of our customers have thousands(!) of PageOUTs, StoryTeller layouts or Exstream design apps. We will provide tools to analyze the situation and help you make more effective use of your OpenText CCM investment.

 AI/Machine Learning

We see many interesting developments in AI/Machine Learning and during 2020 we hope to start applying this technology to Rationalization use cases and to assist Authoring users by recommending content for better and more effective communications.

Finally, we look forward to delivering many other more traditional enhancements such as improved threading control, better bulk operation support in Workshop, and important usability enhancements, just to mention a few examples.We are always interested to get your feedback.
